Dr. Amy Baxter graduated from Florida International University with her Masters in Physical Therapy and attained her Doctorate degree from University of South Florida. She has been in practice since 2005 and her primary focus for her professional career has been in outpatient orthopedics, sports rehabilitation and injury protection. She received her Manual Therapy Certification through Ola Grimsby Institute. She has also taken several spinal manipulation courses which she integrates into patient care to improve patient outcomes for appropriate patients. She emphasizes the importance of treating the “whole” person not just the injury and encourages patients to be proactive in their plans of care. She also works part time in home health care which adds to the skills needed to provide care needed in the outpatient setting for very low level patients. Away from the clinic she is an avid runner, weight lifter, guitarist and singer/songwriter.
