Dr. Matthew Waggoner is a graduate of Florida International University. He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and Manual Therapy Certification through the University of St. Augustine. He later completed his outpatient manual physical therapy fellowship program through the Ola Grimsby Institute in Seattle, Washington. He is currently an adjunct for Nova Southeastern University in the Transitional DPT program and is a full-time faculty with the Florida Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. Dr. Waggoner’s primary areas of research involve cervical and lumbar spine relationship to motor control, and he is currently reviewing literature on sports related injuries in the 10-18 year-old population. Dr. Waggoner is a member of the Florida Physical Therapy Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the Veterans of Foreign War. In his spare time he enjoys surfing, fishing and hiking with his wife and four children.
